Kevin Mayo

Kevin Mayo has been an Information Technology and IT Security expert for 20+ years. Kevin has performed many roles for his clients including sales engineering, solution architecture, and security consulting. Mr. Mayo has also maintained successful leadership roles including Director of Cybersecurity and Cisco Practice Lead.

As a Solution Architect and Service Delivery Manager, Kevin has designed and overseen the deployment of hundreds of collaboration, wireless LAN, cybersecurity, and data center IT projects. In partnership with Lockheed Martin, Kevin designed and oversaw the deployment of more than 6,000 LAN switching, wireless, and VoIP endpoints for the Energy Northwest Nuclear Power Plant in Richland, Washington.

Kevin’s true passion is Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). It is in an Advisory capacity where he has helped numerous reputable organizations such as the State of Oregon, State of Montana, and the City and County of Spokane, Washington IT organizations improve and mature their security risk management programs.

Mr. Mayo believes that learning is a journey and the best way to serve his clients is as a thought leader and subject-matter expert. Thus, Kevin maintains over 40 current IT certifications including CISSP, PMP, 3 Cisco Professional Certifications, 5 Cisco Associate Certifications and 6 CompTIA industry certifications. Kevin is a firm believer in giving back to the IT community in his role as an IT and cybersecurity instructor where more than 10,000 students across the globe have taken his Cloud Architecture and Implementing HIPAA Compliance courses.
